ELECT Marvalene Pankey MO. HOUSE DISTRICT 133
NO Hanky-Panky,
JUST Marvalene’s MARVELOUS COMMON SENSE
Here are a couple of
examples of some simple laws that are needed.
Amend 115.445 RsMO
adding an additional clause---
To encourage more
people to vote and to protect the secrecy of balloting and integrity of the
voting process, no later than the municipal elections of 2006 all ballots cast
at a polling place in Missouri shall be cast by one registered voter standing
in a booth enclosed with a curtain or swinging door(s) where hands, eyes, and
ears are not seen by others. The only
exceptions shall be when a disabled person authorizes another to accompany them
in the booth, ballots are cast by handicapped persons who cannot physically
enter a booth, ballots are cast absentee at a location other than those
provided by the election authority. It
shall be a class C felony to violate this law.
It shall also be a class C felony to leave or display campaign materials
in a voting booth.
(Many people quit
voting when the curtains and doors on the voting booths were removed. It is pathetic when media can actually walk
in and film over the shoulder of people voting. No one should influence the vote or a non vote through
intimidation or “that look”.)
Add 105.011 RsMO---
Except for normal
holiday and vacation times as permitted public employees, all elected public
officials shall personally and physically be in their Jefferson City, Missouri
office(s) during normal business hours at least thirty hours per week or said
office shall be considered vacated and no further compensation nor benefits may
be distributed to said officer. This
law shall be enforced by the Mo. Attorney General and Office of Administration. If the attorney general is who has violated
this law the Mo. Governor shall have the duty to enforce this law. It is mandatory that this law be
enforced.
(This is needed to curb a problem instituted
by Matt Blunt trying to operate the Mo. Secretary of State’s office from the
United Kingdom and then from home. The
public has a right to demand that their elected officials have a hands on
approach to operating their offices.)
